Years have passed since the original Guardians--Tadase, Nadeshiko/Rima, Kuukai/Kairi/Nagihiko, Yaya and Amu--have graduated, grown up and settled down with families. The Guardians continued to pass on the legend of the Embryo, each group hoping to find it and make their wishes come true. Along the way, two more Chairs rose up to take place in the student council--Trump and Cardinal. The Embryo was eventually found by a succeeding group of the Guardians, much to the joy of those six Chairs (There was no Joker at the time). However, there was some debate of who was to use the Embryo to grant their wish, as each Guardian had their own wish they wanted real. Eventually, the Ace Chair's wish was selected as the one to be granted to the Embryo. However, on the night before the day the Ace was to tell the Embryo his wish, the jealous Trump, who believed her wish was more important, somehow stole the Embryo from where the Queen--who did not believe she had a need for the Embryo to make her own wish come true--had locked it, but was caught by the other five Chairs. A battle took place, and it ended with the Trump and, for some reason, the Cardinal Chairs running away with the Embryo, and were never heard of again. Whether the Embryo granted the Trump or Cardinal's wish remains unknown, but the Guardians then knew only one thing--the Embryo was gone. The Trump and Cardinal Chairs, however, were abolished immediately. Years past, and a group of Guardians--as they were the student council who, traditionally, had shugo charas themselves, even the Embryo was gone, and X-Eggs were still around also--spotted the Embryo, and eventually traced the old Embryo legend, and what had happened just a few years prior. However, no sooner had those Guardians began to start their enthused search, then a new group appeared, the Deities, and soon after, another group, the Kagome, also made their existence known. After tracing the previous Guardian's story, this was too much to be a coincidence, and it was suspected--and highly likely--that the Trump and the Cardinal eventually both started their own groups after the Embryo--somehow--escaping their clutches. In order to compete with--have a chance against--the sizes of these groups, the Guardians started expanding their own forces to compensate. The first battle between the groups was shocking. The Deities somehow changed the form of the X-Eggs, while the Kagome somehow crystallized the X-Eggs. It was clear their intention, however---They both wanted the Embryo also. Now, the race for the Embryo is on again, but all groups--Guardians, Deities, and Kagome--are recruiting and fighting all they can, getting civilians to join them whenever possible.
